BlockShopper Manhattan “Democratic Consultant Sells in East Village”
John Del Cecato bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 240 E. 10th St. in East Village from New City Associates LLC for $1.475 million on March 16.
New City Associates LLC paid $995,000 for the property in Feb. 2008. The 1,340-square-foot condo, Unit #4A, is one of the 35 units in the 15-story New Theater condo development, which was built in 2001. Del Cecato is a Democratic consultant working at the firm of political consultant David Axelrod. He is also a partner at AKPD Message and Media, LLC. He previously served as a communications director for New York City mayoral candidate Fernando Ferrer, as Iowa Democratic Party communications and as press secretary to U.S. Representative Jim McGovern. He majored in communications and political science at Northwestern University. According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 71 condo sales in East Village during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $750,000.
